AB InBev UK has launched an online training module for servers and sellers of alcoholic beverages. The free online training covers subjects including alcohol regulations, ID-checking, the effects of alcohol and managing challenging situations.
This initiative is part of AB InBev’s Better World strategy and commitment to provide training on responsible alcohol beverage sales. The goal is to train at least one million servers and sellers of alcohol beverages globally by the end of 2014, and 10,000 servers and sellers across Western Europe.
The online responsible server training has been launched on AB InBev’s business-to-business website Bar Expert. The training has also been launched in Germany, Belgium, The Netherlands and France.
The training makes use of background information and practical examples, which can be applied day to day. After successfully completing the training, which takes a maximum of 20 minutes, a personalised certificate will be provided.
Iain Newell, On Trade Sales Director, AB InBev UK said: “At AB InBev we brew our beers to be enjoyed responsibly, and this means making sure they are served responsibly too. We are pleased to launch this free training tool which gives bar staff the opportunity to demonstrate their commitment to responsible bartending.”
