Budweiser pledges to reward The Emirates FA Cup underdog victories with helicopter beer drop to fans Back to news

Budweiser, the official beer of The Emirates FA Cup, is today launching their very first helicopter delivery service, which will be on standby throughout the Third Round – ready to take off and reward the biggest achievements that occur this weekend. The official Bud Chopper will be on standby to airdrop a Budweiser beer delivery to the fans of the team, who, against all odds, beat their tough competitors or put up the biggest fight in the Third Round.

To help celebrate these underdog achievements, and the potential for an unforgettable giant slaying, Budweiser has called on FA Cup winner David James to help them deliver thousands of bottles of free beer to the hometowns of The Emirates FA Cup’s lower-league teams. The Bud Chopper will deliver a celebratory beer drop so fans can raise a Bud to the lower-league team who defeats their higher-ranking competitor. If no underdog victories take place, Budweiser will make the executive decision to reward the fans of the team that played the hardest on the pitch, or where the fans’ loyal support came through strongest.

On Sunday 8th January from 12:00, David James and Budweiser’s dedicated team will be ready and waiting to take off from London’s Biggin Hill Airport, and make its way to the home stadium of the most successful lower-league team playing in the Third Round. David James could be delivering Budweiser to Plymouth Argyle, for their match against Liverpool F.C., or maybe Stourbridge F.C., if they defeat Wycombe Wanderers F.C.
